How to replace a water pump on 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Before you start work on the Water Pump you need to drain the cooling system and detach the Drive Belt guard. Turn the Water Pump Pulley bolts loose and take off the Drive Belt while also removing the Water Pump Pulley bolts before you can reach the Water Pump Pulley. Take out both Water Pump bolts before you detach the Water Pump itself. Afterwards pull the Water Pump Gasket off too. Use a cleaning solution to prepare the places where the Water Pump connects. Install the Water Pump with its gasket in place. Use 10 nm torque on the Water Pump bolts afterward install the pump pulley and fasten its bolts to 25 nm. Put back the Drive Belt and its guard then refill the cooling system.
