The hose clamp pliers (J38185) allow users to change the hose clamp position at the water outlet housing and after repositioning the clamp users can remove the radiator inlet hose from this housing unit. You must start by removing exhaust crossover pipe and water outlet housing bolts before removing the water outlet housing and its gasket. Remove the Thermostat before you clean both mating surfaces on the water outlet. Start your installation by placing the Thermostat before you add the water outlet gasket and housing. Fasten the water outlet housing bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) before you replace the exhaust crossover pipe and attach the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing. The hose clamp pliers (J38185) retengthens and installs the hose clamp onto the water outlet housing before reinstalling the air cleaner intake duct and filling the cooling system.
