How to replace the muffler on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

In order to change the muffler, lift and hold the vehicle. Unscrew bolts and gasket on the front pipe/ catalytic converter, and unscrew the muffler. Wipe the mating surfaces, attach the new assembly using a gasket and fix it. Make sure everything is in line before screwing everything up.
