  A: Basic Water Pump replacement starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while draining the cooling system. Start by disabling power to the battery then remove the accessory Drive Belt along with vehicle lifting and suspension procedures. The right side lower engine splash shield needs removal so you can remove the 6 Water Pump bolts and the Water Pump itself along with its o-ring. Also, remove the o-ring. A replacement o-ring should be installed first before fitting the Water Pump with its 6 bolts (1, 2) tightened to 11 nm (8 ft. Lbs.). After securing the right side lower engine splash shield you can lower the vehicle to reinstall the accessory Drive Belt while putting everything back together. First reconnect the negative Battery Cable then add approved engine coolant to the Radiator. Perceive system leaks after starting the engine.
