How to replace the thermostat on 2002 Chevrolet Prizm?

In order to change the thermostat, empty the cooling system, and take out the thermostat housing. Remover thermostat and O-ring and clean the surfaces and check thermostat. Install thermostat and new O-ring, reconnect the housing, fill the radiator with coolant, start the engine, and look at the leakage.
