How to replace the evaporator core on 2002 GMC Safari?

In order to replace the evaporator core, collect the required tools and take away the air cleaner. Take out the refrigerant, disconnect electrical connectors and take out the compressor hose assembly. There is an outer case, a module of the evaporator, a module of the evaporator, and an evaporator core which can be detached, split, and removed. Install new core, reassemble and reconnect.
