  A: To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)1, one requires the tools such as Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). Start by removing the fuel injection shield sight and turning the switch of ignition off. Next, move the retaining clip of ho2s off of the bracket and move the ho2s electrical connector tab off of the retaining clip, with the removal of the electrical connector retainer. Lift the vehicle, making sure the engine temperature has reached 48°c (120°F) for an easier removal, and then gently remove the rear Oxygen Sensor from the rear Exhaust Manifold by using the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). In installation, locate the rear Oxygen Sensor into the rear Exhaust Manifold while a special anti-seize compound is applied on threads; new service sensors already should contain this compound, whereas reused sensors should be coated with anti-seize d4088 (P/N 5613695) or similar. Secure the rear ho2s with 41 n.m (30 lb ft) and then lower the vehicle and reconnect the electrical connector to the ho2s. Finally, connect the ho2s electrical connector tab to the bracket, attach the electrical connector retainer, as well as replace the fuel injection sight shield.
