How to replace the power seat switch on 2003 Buick LeSabre?

Start the replacement of the power seat switch by disabling the SIR system. Cushion removal provides access to the power seat switch but the lumbar switch knob must not be removed because it could become damaged. Unfasten the knobs by using a flat-bladed tool. The Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) can remove push-in retainers from under the seat cushion frame before you take off the power seat switch bezel. The control of J channel retainers allows you to access the power seat switch bracket when working on the seat cushion frame. To detach the push-in fasteners for the power seat switch bracket you should apply the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778). The power seat switch and bracket should be removed from the seat cushion frame followed by an electrical connector disconnection from each power seat switch. The bracket has switches that can be extracted with a flat-bladed tool. The power seat switch bracket requires placement of the switches first before attaching the wiring harness in its original position then establishing electrical connections between the power seat switches and their electrical points. Slide the bracket with the switches upward while fitting it into the seat cushion frame before attaching the retainers to hold both bracket and switches in place. The seat cushion cover goes on top of switches with its holes matching the switch assembly before the power seat switch bezel goes over the switches followed by fastening the bezel. To wrap up the process install the power seat switch knobs followed by proper reinstalling of the seat cushion while reenabling the SIR system.
