How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve in an A/C system on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

In order to restore the refrigerant, reposition the heater hose, and remove the vacuum hose, to replace the thermal expansion valve (TXV). Take out evaporator outlet tube and dispose of sealing washers. Cover the refrigerant tubes with a lid, and take out the TXV. Install new sealing washers and the TXV, reattaching all the pieces and carry out a leak test.
