How to service and repair the Blend Door Actuator on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

To service and repair air temperature actuator, start from removing the knee bolster. Set the hvac controls to vent mode to position the lever of defroster door, which is vital to reach the air temperature actuator. Next take off the temperature door lever bolt from the hvac module, disconnect and remove the temperature door lever spring , and then disconnect and remove the temperature door lever from the temperature door. Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector and remove the air temperature actuator mounting screws to pull the air temperature actuator. For installation one has to install air temperature actuator and fix it with the mounting screws tightened with 1.6n.m (14 lb in). Connection of the air temperature actuator electrical connector then attach of the temperature door lever on the temperature door by ensuring the pin on the air temperature is same to that of the slot in the temperature door lever. Connect the temperature door lever spring to the temperature door lever and to the hvac module case, followed by installing the temperature door lever bolt to the hvac module case and tightening it to 0.9 n.m (8 lb in). Finally, fit the knee bolster back and reset the actuators.
