How to service the camshaft position sensor on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

The first step of servicing the Camshaft Position Sensor is to disconnect the electrical connector from the cmp sensor pigtail before removing the ks pigtail retaining clip from the cmp sensor. Remove the bolt attaching the cmp sensor to the camshaft bearing cap to extract the sensor from its mounting position on the bearing cap. Clean the cmp sensor mating surfaces and the camshaft bearing cap before placing the cmp sensor into its position within the camshaft bearing cap. Fasten the cmp sensor using the bolt with 8 n.m (71 lb in) torque and ensure compliance with fastener notice in service precautions. Affix the ks pigtail retaining clip to the cmp sensor while reconnecting the electrical connector to the cmp sensor pigtail.
