The first step to replace the rear axle lower control arm requires vehicle elevation with support. Start by removing nuts that secure the lower control arm and the retaining bolt. Take out the control arm after that. Place the lower control arm in its position before tightening both retaining bolts and the retaining nut for installation. Before tightening suspension bolts drivers should wait until the suspension reaches its natural ride height. The lower control arm retaining bolts require tightening to 120 N.m (89 lb ft). To complete the procedure remove the rear axle support while lowering the vehicle.
