Drain off the cooling system and then depress the vehicle. Then disconnect the electrics of the low coolant sensor and take out the low coolant sensor electrics harness from the retainer. Use the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to relocate the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the surge tank and remove the surge tank outlet hose from the surge tank. Then, move the engine vent hose clamp from the surge tank with the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) and take the engine vent hose off the surge tank . Again help yourself with the use of the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to reposition the radiator vent hose clamp from the surge tank and remove the radiator vent hose from the surge tank. Get rid of the radiator surge tank mounting bolt, and then pull out the surge tank. For installation, fit the surge tank back in position and mount the surge tank in position with the surge tank mounting bolt at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Replace the radiator vents hose onto the surge tank and with the hose clamp pliers (J 38185), reposition the radiator vents hose clamp to the surge tank. Connect the engine vent hose to the surge tank and relocate the engine vent hose clamp to the surge tank with the hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Then, connect to the surge tank the surge tank outlet hose and relocate the surge tank outlet hose clamp to the surge tank using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Lastly, put in the low coolant sensor electrical connector to the retainer, connect the low coolant electrical connector and fill the cooling system at the radiator surge tank.
