• Q: How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor and Intake Air Temperature Sensor on 2003 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: To replace the mass air flow (MAF) and intake air temperature (IAT) sensor, the maf/iat sensor's electrical connector is to be disconnected, being careful not to damage the honeycell at the air inlet end, as well as not touching the sensing elements. The sensing elements should not be brought into contact with any cleaning solvents or lubricants, and just a little of non-silicone based lubricant should be used on the air duct to help with the installation. Hence, unbolt the airpassageclamps at maf/iat sensor and Throttle Body, airptclamp at air clean housing and then remove the maf/iat sensor. While installing a new maf/iat sensor be sure that the embossed arrow pointing the right air flow direction is towards the engine. Install the maf/iat sensor into the air intake duct at the air cleaner housing, connecting the new clamp using the j 22610 service boot clamp installer (J 22610). Replace the air intake duct back to maf/iat sensor and Throttle Body with help of clamps, and finally replace the plug, the electrical connector of maf/iat.
