How to replace the Door Striker on the front door on 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

The replacement process of front door striker anchor plate starts with unlocking the front or rear door lock pillar and continuing with center pillar upper trim panel (Front Striker), center pillar lower trim panel (Front Striker), and quarter lower trim panel (Rear Striker). Mark the striker position with a grease pencil before removing all screws from the front door lock striker then stripping away material from the striker and shims followed by the headplate. Installation procedures start with putting in the anchor plate then adding the door lock shims and striker afterward the striker screws need to be put on. Install the door lock striker at the marked position before securing its screws to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). You should readjust the door lock striker when required. You should replace the trim by installing the center pillar upper panel (Front Striker) first followed by the center pillar lower panel (Front Striker) and ending with the quarter lower panel (Rear Striker).
