    Q:
How to replace the door striker anchor plate on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the door striker anchor plate replacement requires you to remove the front or rear door lock pillar trim and then remove the center pillar upper (Front Striker) and lower (Front Striker) trim panels. The next procedure involves removing the quarter lower trim panel which is labeled (Rear Striker). First mark the striker position with a grease pencil and afterwards remove the striker screws from the front door lock as well as the door lock striker and accompanying shims followed by the anchor plate. The first step for installation includes placing the anchor plate then applying the door lock shims and striker before screwing in the striker screws. Tighten the screws that attach the door lock striker to your marked position at 25 Nm (18 lb ft). You should modify the door lock striker when needed. To finish the repair process install the front or rear trim by putting on the center pillar upper trim panel (Front Striker) and the center pillar lower trim panel (Front Striker) and the quarter lower trim panel (Rear Striker).

Proceed by removing the Front Striker upper part from the center pillar and the Front Striker lower segment from the center pillar. The installation process begins by taking off the quarter lower trim panel which is also known as (Rear Striker). Apply a grease pencil to mark the striker location before removing the screws holding the front door lock striker and afterward removing the striker alongside the shims and anchor plate. The process starts by putting in the anchor plate followed by the door lock shims and striker and ends with striker screws installation.
