2003 Chevrolet Tracker Brake Disc Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace the Brake Disc on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: Before starting remove around two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir through a siphon tube. Lift the car and take off its tire and wheel parts. Put the c-clamp across both the pad and caliper areas. Turn it until the piston touches its bottom housing point. After loosening two bolts you can take out the caliper, caliper bracket and brake pads together while keeping brake components away from flexible brake hoses. Position a wire underneath the caliper and caliper bracket system to keep the hoses safe when suspended. Place two 8 mm bolts through the Brake Disc then tighten them to push the Brake Disc off the Wheel Hub if needed. Install the new Brake Disc on the hub then put the caliper and caliper bracket in position before tightening their 2 bracket bolts to 85 nm (61.5 ft. Lbs.). Replace the tire and wheel on the vehicle then drop it down. Refill the master cylinder and start the engine while depressing the Brake Pedal several times to activate the caliper piston.
