  A: The first step to replace the rear object sensor requires removal of the rear bumper fascia. Preset the locking tabs on the housing and remove the rear object sensor from its position. After releasing the spring from the housing through squeezing you should open the housing tabs to remove it. Remove the rear object sensor bezel which is connected to the rear fascia. The new rear object sensor installation requires paint application but avoid reapplication of paint on existing sensor components. To secure the rear object sensor bezel properly it should be placed flush against the fascia while its keyhole precisely lines up with the key. Install the housing to the cutouts on the bezel from the back side of the fascia followed by attaching the spring to the housing where the spring keys should align at the top and bottom of the housing.
