How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2003 GMC Envoy?

Start by removing the Pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin before removing the stop lamp switch and Pushrod from this same pin installation. First disconnect the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch then remove the switch from the vehicle. First connect the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch then place the switch on the Pushrod before mounting the assembly onto the brake pedal pin. Put the Pushrod retainer on the brake pedal pin before it snaps into place.
