How to Replace a Brake Light Switch on GMC Envoy?

Start by taking off the left sound insulator before you can replace the stop lamp switch. Detach the Pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin before pulling out the stop lamp switch and Pushrod from their positions. Set the stop lamp switch aside by removing its electrical connector. First plug the electrical cable into the stop lamp switch then adjust the switch onto the Pushrod before installing it on the brake pedal pin. Press the Pushrod retainer onto the brake pedal pin then let it snap in place before placing back the left sound insulator.
