How to replace the auxiliary side A/C hose on 2003 GMC Safari?

The first step for replacing the auxiliary side accumulator tube requires the technician to recover refrigerant from the system followed by correctly positioning the vehicle. The installation of the new auxiliary side accumulator tube starts by removing both the rear tube and its O-ring seal from the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube. After separate the tube from the compressor hose assembly you should also remove its O-ring seal. Proceed to remove the bolts fastening the outlet side tube clips to the vehicle body before extracting the tube. Install the new auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube by placing it inside the vehicle and fasten it with the bolts while tightening each bolt to 4 N.m (35 lb in). The tube requires an installation of an O-ring seal that received 525 viscosity refrigerant oil treatment before connecting it to the compressor hose assembly while tightening the nut to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). The installation requires another new O-ring seal for the auxiliary evaporator outlet underside body tube and its connection to the auxiliary evaporator rear tube where the nut gets tightened to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). Lower the vehicle then evacuate and recharge the system while using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) for fittings leak tests.
