How to replace the secondary hood latch on 2003 GMC Safari?

Begin by removing the hood latch bolt and then, using a lifting method, detach the secondary hood latch from the inside of the hood. Place the tab of the replacement secondary hood latch into the corresponding slot on the hood and attach it to the hood by putting the hood latch bolt in place and tightening it to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
