The first step should involve shutting off the ignition along with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. You must detach two screws holding the upper and lower air cleaner assembly sections before you can eliminate the upper air cleaner housing assembly. You must avoid disconnecting pcm connectors before you remove the pcm along with its harness from the pcm housing. You will then disconnect the pcm connectors. To install the pcm connectors should be reconnected then secured at 8 n.m (71 lb in). Reinsert the pcm assembly with its harness into the pcm housing before installing the upper air cleaner housing assembly by using the two screws which should be tightened to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Install the intake duct onto its position and safely connect the negative Battery Cable. The newly installed pcm needs the service programming system (SPS) to program it after a 10-mile drive period before allowing secondary air pump functionality.
