How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on 2004 Buick LeSabre?

Vehicle maintenance begins by lifting the vehicle then stabilizing it for work. First disconnect the speed sensor electrical connector after which both the retaining bolt and sensor assemblies can be removed from the vehicle. Check the O-ring for damage then get a replacement if needed. Secure the vehicle speed sensor with its retaining bolt at 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.). After lowering the vehicle you must connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
