How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on 2004 Buick LeSabre?

The first step to replace the throttle position (TP) sensor requires removal of the fuel injector sight shield followed by disconnecting the tp sensor electrical connector. You must first remove the tp sensor from the Throttle Body before taking out its two attaching screws which secure it in place. Before inserting the tp sensor into the Throttle Body assembly it is vital to position the throttle valve in its normal closed state. Use loctite 262(R) equivalent thread-locking compound gm p/n 1052624 and attach the two screws before tightening them to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Reconnect the tp sensor electrical connector before putting back the fuel injector sight shield.
