How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Buick LeSabre?

To service the Throttle Position Sensor, start by removing the fuel injector sight shield and by disconnecting the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector from the tp sensor. Secondly, remove the two tp sensor attaching screws and remove the tp sensor from the Throttle Body. During installation, make sure you have the throttle valve in the normal non-operational condition for the tp sensor before installing the Throttle Body assembly. Apply loctite 262(R) (GM P/N 1052624) or an equal thread-locking compound onto the screws before you install the two tp sensor attaching screws this last screw will be tightened to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Connect the tp sensor back, and then reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
