How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on 2001 Buick LeSabre?

You must detach the electrical connector from the tp sensor as your first step to replace it. Then remove the fuel injector sight shield. Start by removing the tp sensor through removal of the two screws which attach it to the Throttle Body. The normal closed position of the throttle valve must be verified before placing the tp sensor inside the Throttle Body assembly. Secure the tp sensor attaching screws with loctite 262(R) gm p/n 1052624 which is equivalent to an acceptable thread-locking compound and twist the screws until torque reaches 2 n.m at 18 lb in. After reattaching the electrical connector to the tp sensor install the fuel injector sight shield.
