How to replace the exhaust manifold exhaust heat shield on 2004 Buick Rainier?

Start with removal of the air cleaner resonator outlet duct before unsticking the transmission filler tube stud nut from the a.i.r. Adapter to shift the filler tube aside. The exhaust manifold needs its oil level indicator tube along with Oxygen Sensor removed first. As the next step you must remove the 4 manifold heat shield nuts then detach the heat shield. Begin installation by installing the exhaust manifold heat shield while tightening its 4 nuts to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the Oxygen Sensor together with the oil level indicator into position. The transmission filler tube should be placed back onto its stud while securing it with a nut before tightening both components to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reattach the air cleaner resonator outlet duct as the last step.
