How to replace the lower control arm bushings on 2004 Buick Regal?

Start by removing the lower Control Arm before affixing it to a vise for the next step. A standard thread nut of 1/2 x 20 in dimensions should be used with the puller bolt. The bushing removal toolset includes the nut and j 21474-01 washer and j 21474-01 bearing and j 21474-5 and j 21474-01 puller bolt. Use the puller bolt to apply torque until the bushing dislodges after which remove j 21474-01 and j 21474-5. To install the bushing you should first apply liquid hand soap or its equivalent lubricant before using a 1/2 x 20 in standard thread nut with the puller bolt. The bushing installation requires a set of tools that features the nut , j 21474-01 washer , j 21474-01 bearing , j 21474-5 , and j 21474-01 puller bolt . Use the puller bolt to tighten until the bushing seats properly into the Control Arm. Next, disassemble the j 21474-01 along with j 21474-5 then remove the Control Arm from the vise and install the lower Control Arm.
