How to replace or repair the emblem/nameplate on the rear bumper fascia on 2004 Buick Regal?

Before installing the new emblem/nameplate on the rear bumper fascia use tape to protect its surface and tape alignment marks Heat the emblem/nameplate at the center of a J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) for thirty seconds while rotating it. Using a plastic tool with a flat blade will help you safely take the emblem/nameplate off the panel. Clean body panels with a 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) while plastic parts need a lint-free cloth dipped in VMP naphtha or a mix of half isopropyl alcohol and water. Use the same lint-free cloth with cleaning solution to wipe the installation surface and leave it totally dry afterward. Mark the spot with tape after heating the mounting location to 80-105°F and keeping the emblem/nameplate at 85-90°F. Apply direct pressure to surface without handling adhesive and remove protective liner from emblem/nameplate. Next place the emblem in its designated area and press it tightly to the surface with uniform pressure. Afterward take off the protective tape from the surface.
