    Q:
How to replace the emblem/nameplate on Buick Park Avenue? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, wash the panel with soap and water, and then make sure it is dry. Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 to thoroughly clean the body panel and the back of the molding from any adhesive. Then, use a clean cloth with some alcohol/water and wipe the panel. Place a strip of masking tape or a magnetic strip at the right position for the emblem/nameplate, following the correct measurements. If the car's surface is colder than 70°F, use a heat lamp or heat gun to make it warmer. Use one of these 3M Super Automotive Attachment Tapes and coat the emblem/nameplate with double sided acrylic foam tape: You may use 3M 06380 with white backing, 3M 06377 with black backing, or 3M 06382 with gray backing. Finally, put the emblem/nameplate where it should be and press it tightly to set the adhesive.
