To replace or repair the Supercharged emblem/nameplate; It is required to protect the mount surface using tape and use tape for alignment marks. Heats that Emblem/Nameplate using Heat Gun (J 25070) with approximately circular movement for approximately 30 seconds. In order to rule out paint damage, an unbendable plastic, flat-bladed tool should be used to remove/raise the emblem/nameplate from the side of the panel. If the tape is still on the molding or the panel, clean it and the mating surface with adhesive cleaner and a clean, lint-free cloth; if the tape is damaged, continue with the replacement. Use adhesive foam tape on the back of the emblem/nameplate, and press it on. For removing adhesives, use 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) for on body panel, or for plastic panel use lint-free cloth with Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha or 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Install the software in a dust free area. Clean the area by using lint free cloth and VMP naphtha or alcohol-water mixture, dry thoroughly. Mark the position with tape, heat the mounting surface to about 27-41°C (80-105°F), and the emblem/nameplate should be heated to about 29-32°C (85-90°F). Peel off the protective liner from the back of the emblem/nameplate and place it to match the marks on the emblem/nameplate, and press firmly onto mounting area evenly, as to have an even bond. At last, take off the protective tape from the fixing surface.
