How to replace the lower control arm bushings on 2004 Buick Rendezvous?

You need these tools when replacing the Control Arm bushings: you will need two products for the job: high pressure lubricant (J23444-A) and Control Arm Bushing service set (J21474-01). High pressure lubricant (J23444-A) and Control Arm Bushing service set (J21474-01). Start by taking off the lower Control Arm before locking it into a vice. The vehicle's original ride quality and handling performance depend on properly lining up the marked lower Control Arm Bushing flange to its original position when removing and installing the vertical bushing. Add high pressure lubricant (J23444-A) to both threads of bushing tool (J21474-27) before tool assembly. Use tool j21474-4 to remove the bushing from the Control Arm after tightening its connector. Then disassemble both tools from the bushing. The installation process begins when you position the flat edge of your new bushing flange in line with the Control Arm mark and push the bushing into place. Then repeat the application of high pressure lubricant (J23444-A) on the threads of the bushing tool (J21474-27). The bushing tool (J21474-4) needs to be tightened until the bushing fully seats in the Control Arm then tools must be disassembled before installing the lower Control Arm.
