How to replace the primary and secondary hood latch on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

First wipe out the bolts which attach the Hood Latch to the vehicle then remove the hood release cable from the Hood Latch and the remote start electrical connector (when present). Install the hood release cable on the new Hood Latch and place the latch into its correct location. The bolts need installation for securing the Hood Latch with a torque setting of 9 nm (80 lb in). Complete the remote start electrical connector process but only if the vehicle requires it and then adjust the hood primary latch.
