One should begin the Hood Latch replacement by uninstalling the bolts which fasten the Hood Latch to the vehicle before breaking free the hood release cable from the Hood Latch to remove the Hood Latch from its position. Position the Hood Latch onto the vehicle after connecting the hood release cable to it. Tighten the Hood Latch securing bolts with a torque of 9 nm until they reach 80-lb in. Set the hood primary latch as the final step.
