Afterward remove three fasteners that keep the hood release handle mounted to the vehicle and separate the Hood Cable from the handle. Secure an additional string around the cable because it helps with navigation inside the engine compartment. To begin this repair you should take out the Hood Cable grommet from its position in the wheel opening and extract the cable from inside the vehicle. You must slip the string to both ends of the new Hood Cable before directing it through the passenger area before string removal.
