Obtain quick connect fittings from the Fuel Rail by removing both return and feed hoses/pipe while using plugs to block outlet ports to stop fuel loss and contamination. The next step requires disconnecting the fuel injector electrical harness connector from Engine Wiring Harness Connector as well as the Fuel Pressure Regulator's vent tube from the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Begin by taking off the Intake Manifold by removing the Intake Manifold boltds and the Fuel Rail then proceed with removing the seals. Openings on the Intake Manifold flange require appropriate masking to protect the engine from foreign materials while additional cleaning steps on the Intake Manifold become necessary. Begin installation by placing the Intake Manifold together before removing masking protection from the flange surface. Wash and dry both sealing areas before beginning. After placing the seals in the Intake Manifold flange grooves, position the Intake Manifold over the Intake Manifold flange while tightening the Intake Manifold bolts to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). The first step is to install the Fuel Rail back into position followed by connecting the Fuel Pressure Regulator vent tube to its regulator. Lastly, the fuel injector electrical harness needs to connect with the Engine Wiring Harness Connector. Finish your installation by connecting the Fuel Rail feed hose/pipe and return hose/pipe with quick connect fittings then installing the intake plenum.
