Start by removing the upper filler panel followed by removing the discharge hose nut together with the discharge hose from the condenser unit. Support the vehicle before lifting it and take out the front air deflector. You should disconnect the electrical connector from the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor followed by removing the discharge hose nut and the discharge hose from the compressor. Discard the sealing washers which were protecting the discharge hose during its removal from the vehicle. When installing the discharge hose system for the compressor start by connecting new sealing washers to the hose before uniting the discharge hose to the compressor with the discharge hose nut which should be tightened to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Reattach the electrical connector to the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor after lowering the vehicle and connect the discharge hose to the condenser while tightening it with a discharge hose nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The technician should recharge the a/c system while conducted a leak test with a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). The installation concludes by placing back the front air deflector and the upper filler panel.
