The replacement process starts with taking away the upper filler panel as well as the nut on the discharge hose from the condenser. Then detach the discharge hose. The front support section and the electrical connector from the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor must be removed before support of the vehicle. Detach the discharge hose nut then pull out the discharge hose from the compressor and extract the hose from the vehicle by discarding the sealing washers. New sealing washers should be installed onto the discharge hose prior to mounting the discharge hose to the compressor using the discharge hose nut . Tighten the connection to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Attach the electrical connector to the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor and lower the vehicle before connecting the discharge hose to the condenser through the discharge hose nut while tightening it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). A/c system recharging should begin followed by testing fittings through the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). The last installation step involves putting back the front air deflector and upper filler panel.
