    A: Begin by removing the brake caliper from the mounting bracket while supporting it with steel wire to keep the hydraulic brake hose intact. Start by detaching the brake pads and retainers from the Brake Caliper Bracket then remove all its bolts before taking the bracket off from the backing plate. Clean the Brake Caliper Bracket properly then check both its hardware and metal parts for damage. Replace the bracket if found cracked. Before placing the Brake Caliper Bracket tighten its bolts, thoroughly clean the threaded holes and bolt threads with denatured alcohol and let them dry completely. Put one-third of lower caliper bracket bolt threads with gm threadlocker 12345493 gm p/n (10953488) followed by a 10-minute cure. Use the backing plate assembly as a surface to set the Brake Caliper Bracket in place and keep the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts in position to 246 nm (181 ft. Lbs.). Apply high-temperature silicone lube to brake caliper pin bolts then put in Brake Pad retainers and brake pads onto the bracket and set the brake caliper into place.
