  A: To service the Throttle Body, remove the maf sensor electrical connector, do not score the maf sensor screen, doing so will cause restricted air flow and driveability problems. Lose the intake air duct clamps and remove the mass airflow (MAF) sensor and air cleaner intake duct as a unit. Check the Throttle Body bore & throttle valve plate for deposits and open throttle valve to inspect all surfaces. Do not allow any solvent with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) in it to avoid damage to the components of the fuel system. Clean the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate using a clean towel to wipe using gm top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626 Canada P/N 9g3026), ac-delco carburetor tune-up conditioner (PIN X66-P), or equivalent product. For installation, ensure that outlet of the air cleaner assembly and the maf sensor inlet duct is aligned to reduce incorrect airflow readings that trigger mil or cause driveability issues. Install the maf sensor and air cleaner intake duct in an assembly before clamping the intake air duct clamps to 3 nm (27 lb in) before reattaching the maf sensor electrical connector.
