How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

The heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 replacement process begins with turning off ignition and disconnecting the ho2s electrical connector followed by removing the ho2s from its wiring harness bracket. Support the vehicle while it is elevated because operating above an engine temperature of 48°c (120°F) makes sensor replacement easier. Extract the ho2s before its removal from the Catalytic Converter. Add a special anti-seize compound to new Oxygen Sensor threads prior to installation. Before reinstalling the original sensor use gm pin 5613695 or comparable anti-seize compound. Set the ho2s into the Catalytic Converter before tightening it to 40n.m (30 lb ft). After lowering the car body install the ho2s electrical connector onto the wiring harness bracket before you connect the ho2s wiring.
