• Q: How to replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

  A: The first step to replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) requires verifying that the ignition is off to avoid component damage followed by checking the main relay circuit voltage at the ecm Fuse with a dvom. First disconnect the negative Battery Cable then take off the ecm Fuse and tcm/ipc Fuse and ecm/tcm Fuse that are located inside the underhood Fuse block. Move on to the upper ecm electrical connector replacement by unlocking it with lever pressure and turning the clamp lever and sliding the lock.
