How to replace the CV Joint and seal in an automatic transmission on 2004 Chevrolet Aveo?

Replacement of inner wheel drive shaft joint and seal within automatic transmissions requires initial drive axle removal from the vehicle. Use the seal clamp pliers (J 35566) to remove large and small seal retaining clamps for discarding. The first task involves removing the joint housing from the boot before degreasing the tripot assembly. Proceed by using snap ring pliers (J 8059) to extract the shaft's retaining ring from the Axle Shaft. Continue with the tripot and the tripot joint retaining ring removal before removing the tripot joint seal from the Axle Shaft. Begin by mounting a new small seal retaining clamp onto the seal followed by installing the seal onto the Axle Shaft. The snap ring pliers (J 8059) allow you to put the shaft retaining ring onto the Axle Shaft. Put 195-215 grams (6.9-7.6 ozs) of suggested grease into the tripot housing and add the same amount during repacking. Insert the boot inside the joint housing followed by installation of a new large seal retaining clamp that needs crimping with seal clamp pliers (J 35566). Use the seal clamp pliers (J 35566) to crimp both the new small seal retaining clamp before you reinstall the drive Axle Shaft to the vehicle.
