  A: The first step in replacing the Water Pump involves disconnecting the air cleaner intake duct and accessory Drive Belt while removing all fluid from the cooling system. Tighten and loosen the hose clamps at the Water Pump inlet and outlet before taking out the hoses. Also remove heater inlet and surge tank outlet hose clamps and their corresponding hoses. Take off the Water Pump bolts and remove both the Water Pump and its gasket seals from their position. Check the Water Pump condition before putting it into your engine. Place the Water Pump over the engine block while observing the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the Water Pump bolts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) at first then tighten them completely to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Step the Water Pump inlet and surge tank outlet hoses to fit on the pump components before properly clamping and adding both inlet and outlet hoses with their corresponding clamps. Put on the accessory Drive Belt followed by filling the cooling system after installing the air intake filter.
