How to replace the front wheel bearing and hub on 2004 Chevrolet Malibu?

Start hub and Wheel Bearing replacement by lifting your vehicle and taking off the tire and wheel unit. Before you proceed take off the wheel drive shaft nut and brake rotor. You can exchange the Wheel Speed Sensor components when abs exists by freeing its power connector and detaching the sensor housing from its bracket through the locking mechanism. Keep the outer cv boot seal away from the Wheel Bearing bolts during removal to protect its structure. Install the wheel hub removal tool onto the hub and bearing unit to help you take it off the wheel drive shaft. This is done by removing all three hub and bearing assembly bolts. Put the new hub and bearing assembly onto the Steering Knuckle but keep away from thread lock and standard taps on the fastener joint to prevent damage. Fit the three hub and bearing bolts on their installation locations before tightening them to 115 nm (85 ft. Lbs.). Run the Wheel Speed Sensor connector through the bracket until its locking tabs engage. Then attach the electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor when installing with abs. First attach the brake rotor then lock the wheel drive shaft nut by hand before tightening it. Apply pressure to the brake rotor before tightening the wheel drive shaft nut to 215 nm (159 ft. Lbs.) with a screwdriver tool. Then add back the tire and wheel components.
