How to replace the rear wheel bearing/hub on 2005 Chevrolet Malibu?

Start by lifting and secure the vehicle then remove the tire and wheel parts for this procedure. Separate the brake rotor first and eliminate the electrical connection to Wheel Speed Sensor if anti-lock brakes (ABS) are present. You can reach the Wheel Bearing/hub nuts when you take out the stabilizer link bolt and move it aside to the side of the knuckle. Take off the knuckle when 4 Wheel Bearing/hub assembly nuts have been removed and drain the assembly from the equipment. Set the Wheel Bearing/hub assembly onto the knuckle then add the 4 Wheel Bearing/hub assembly nuts and torque them to 63 nm (47 ft. Lbs.). Install the stabilizer link at the knuckle and reconnect the wire to the speed sensor when handling abs systems. Set the brake rotor back in place then add the tire wheel unit before lowering the vehicle.
