    A: The rear park brake cable replacement process starts with releasing the park brake pedal and proceeding to remove floor console together with rear carpet in vehicles with rear disc brakes. The right rear park brake cable or left rear park brake cable should be detached from the console park brake bracket along with the front park brake cable equalizer. The procedure requires lifting the vehicle before you detach plastic retainer clips from the body (if present) together with cable from the bracket (if applicable). To proceed with cable removal start by taking off the plastic retainer clip from the body then remove the tire and wheel assembly followed by the rear park brake cable retainer bolt before detaching the rear park brake cable from the caliper park brake lever. First lower the vehicle and pull off the plastic retainer clip from the stud. Now extract the park brake cable together with its pass-thru grommet from the body. The first step for installation involves running the park brake cable to the vehicle before extending both the park brake cable and pass-thru grommet to the body. Secure the plastic retainer clip to the stud as the next step. Next follow additional steps before raising the vehicle again. Install the rear park brake cable on the caliper park brake lever but do not forget to place and tighten the rear park brake cable retainer bolt with 10 Nm torque setting. The installation requires body attachment of plastic retainer clips after which you connect the cable to bracket before you reinstall the tire with wheel assembly. Secure right rear park brake cable or left rear park brake cable at the console park brake bracket while connecting it to the front park brake cable equalizer . The last step involves reinstallation of the rear carpet and floor console while also repeating park brake pedal cycling four times.
