Start your replacement of the Wiper Arm with Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) nearby. Turn the vehicle power on and set the wiper control to delay position. When the wiper arms reach their lowest point on the wipe pattern shut down the engine. Move away the washer hose before removing the Wiper Arm nut cover and the nut. To separate the Wiper Arm from the wiper transmission you need the Wiper Arm puller tool j 39822. Keep the wiper arms on the wiper transmission with the right arm 97-107 mm (3.82-4.21 in) from the end and left arm 125-147 mm (4.92-5.78 inches) from the Wiper Blade tip to the air inlet screen. Secure the Wiper Arm nut to 30 n.m (22 1bft) torque setting and place the Wiper Arm nut cover in its original position. To finalize the replacement test the new wiper arms by turning on the windshield wipers.
