Chevrolet Monte Carlo Wiper Arm Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the wiper arm on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: Start by powering on the ignition, setting the Wiper Switch to delay, and shutting off power while the wiper arms rest at the bottom of their movement. Unplug the washer hose from the nozzle assembly and free the nut cover to remove and detach the wiper nut. Push the Wiper Arm puller tool j 39822 to remove the Wiper Arm from the wiper transmission drive shaft. To ease wiper spring tension hold the measuring tool at 90 degrees with the Wiper Blade then apply a pin or a drill bit of matching size into the Wiper Arm. Place the wiper arms onto the wiper transmission drive shafts while setting the right arm 97-107mm from the end to the air inlet screen and placing the left arm 125-147 mm from the blade tip to the air inlet screen. Fasten the Wiper Arm nut by turning it to 30 n.m (22 lb-ft) torque. Put the washer hose back to its nozzle connection after you attach a Wiper Arm cover over the securing nut and take out its mounting pin. End the process by turning on the windshield wipers and checking if they work correctly.
